You can earn ridiculous ammounts of money that way. Well, the Hunter IS the best thing to use for the vigilante missions. Military hardware should equal big stars very quickly! I haven't even managed to get 5-6 stars with the Hydra/Hunter since the pop-in and controls make it so hard to blow stuff up. Given the pop-in issues the flying in this game was heavily flawed. And the Hunter (Apache) is in the game but is not used for anything right? And I don't even remember ever actually getting the Hunter without cheating after I beat the game. Same thing with whatever the P-51 clone is. What was retarded IMO was you go through that big mission to get the Hydra (Harrier) and then there are no later missions where you can use it.
The controls on the RC planes have always just been borked though. I used to be a flight sim freak, I had no difficulty with any of the "real" plane missions. lots of missions that involved a 10 minute drive through nothing, then you get killed and get to do the drive over again because you don't own the safe houses yet.Īnyway I guess the solution IMO is GTA:IV needs multiple story endings if they're going to make it as long or longer then then SA. (I thought Zero was the worst part of the game, the girlfriends were fairly weak too) The missions most annoying to me were when you first got out of Los Santos. I have no idea how high my %complete was, probably a good bit higher then 50% as I did waste lots of time on the little side quests. Most of them were good funny characters but they added very little to the story.Īnyway it took me about 60 hours. Same thing with a bunch of the characters. They could have cut a bunch of that out and the story would have been much tighter. Particularly San Fierro just felt like time wasting. CJ has $3mil in the checking account and owns 20 houses & an airport, and Sweet wants to go sit in the slum and gun it out?Īnyway if they were going to put the end in Los Santos I just feel like San Fierro & Las Venturas were just tacked on to the story. Same thing with Sweet getting out of Prison. Tenpenny and smoke had no influence on >75% of the game story, they just were not factors, CJ had obviously grown far far more powerful then them, they didn't warrant being the "end" characters. Vice City seemed to have a nice storyline that escalated as it went on with your character gaining power & influence steadily. yesterday I got it in my head, "It Ends Today!"Īnyway I thought it was too long compared to Vice City. I think I put it aside twice for 9 months or more only to pick it up again and play it for hours and hours before putting it back on the shelf to play other stuff.Īnyway since I got my 360 I really wanted to finish it.
I bought this game like the first week it came out 2 years ago.
